Antiques Roadshow

We’re waiting on the day we see one of our pieces on this show. Here’s a great article on why all artists should watch it.

"Art is Work"

Art is Work

Being an artist is a demanding job. We do it because we have too, because we can’t not do it. “Art is Work” is a great article about it.

Spruce Pine Batch

Batch – our glass before it’s melted. Pretty toxic stuff, but the best to work with, super clear, sparkly, and soft.

Junk science

Junk science debunked. Yes glass is a liquid but those old Cathedral glass windows are not sagging. Here’s a concise why. “Does Glass Flow” by Robert Brill.

Photo of the day

It takes a lot of hand tools to make the many style pieces we blow. They are expensive so we take good care of them.

Merry little Christmas

Today is the Epiphany. We choose to name our studio this not considering the religious meaning. Our meaning was  ~ “insight into the essence or an object and/or material”. But we’re never ones to overlook a holiday, so let’s celebrate!!

What inspires us

People ask us all the time where our inspiration comes from. James Turrell is one of the greatest living artist who we draw so much inspiration from. He is a sculptor of light. How cool is that?!!
